The double edit is an excellent high-ground retake technique that allows you to break through your opponent's defenses while maintaining protection and momentum. By using this technique, you can effectively challenge opponents who have high ground, allowing you to regain control of the fight while minimizing exposure.
Step-by-Step
- Load the Practice Map
Use Coach Philip's Practice Map:

Start by building a ramp, then immediately place a floor and a cone in front of you at the top of the ramp. - Edit Through
Open your edit mode. On both the floor and cone, select a single front tile to make a small triangle opening Confirm your edits and run through cleanly, maintaining momentum. - Repeat the Motion
Continue ramping and double editing with each new layer. Focus on consistency, speed, and maintaining protection during the process.
