Exercise: 90° Turn (90s) - High Ground Build Technique
Exercise Description
90s are a core building technique in Fortnite, used to rapidly gain vertical ground while rotating above your current position. Mastering 90s lets you take highground control in build fights and maintain pressure on opponents. This drill uses the method demonstrated in the video: ramp → two walls → floor → stair rotation → repeat.
Step-by-Step
- Load the Practice Map
Use Coach Philip's Practice Map:

Place a ramp to start your build, facing forward. - Add Two Walls
Quickly place walls up in front and up to the right—creating a structure that helps guide your turn. - Add Floor and Stair
Continue looking at the wall you built to the right. Look slightly down and place a floor and stair to complete the 90. - Continue Cycling
Keep repeating 90s to build height and maintain momentum.
